Long Distance Relationship Success Story
You can never read enough happy love stories! The long distance relationship success story that you’re going to read about in this blog is super sweet, inspiring, and of course, adorable! If you’re currently in a LDR, then you’ve most likely had people try and tell you that ‘LDRs never work’… Well, they’re wrong. Yes, long distance is extremely difficult, however, as long as you and your partner put in an equal amount of effort, your relationship can and WILL succeed! So, it’s time to prove that negative person wrong…
Here is the story of long distance relationship couple, Yatri and Chintan!
Yatri and Chintan live in different countries…
Yatri and Chintan met in a really unusual way… (Her words – not mine!) This wonderful couple met on Tinder. For those of you who don’t know, Tinder is a dating app! Yatri said it was weird to find such a strong and powerful connection on Tinder, as sometimes, the app doesn’t have the best reputation! Yatri lives in the United States – in Cleveland, Tennessee to be exact, while Chintan lives all the way in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
They fly back and forth, and unfortunately, their flights are almost a day long! Yatri said that the shortest flight is 22 hours. Now, the fact that they take those flights is what I call commitment! It’s hard to find someone who is willing to sit on a plane for so many hours. I thought mine was bad… My partner lives in England and I live in New York. Our flight is 7 hours!
They’ve been dating for over a year and a half!
Yatri and Chintan have defeated the odds and put in so much effort to be together. They’ve been dating for almost 2 years now! On May 28th, 2018, Chintan asked Yatri to be his girlfriend over WhatsApp – she jokingly said that it was just ‘way too romantic’ LOL! But, what else can you do when you live so far away, right? Funny enough, Yatri actually used to live in India, too, but she didn’t live in the same city as Chintan, so they weren’t able to see each other, then. It definitely would’ve been easier to considering they were in the same country!
Yatri has tons of advice for other long distance relationship couples…
Her best advice is to keep going, keep trusting, and keep fighting. She said:
“Keep talking, loving and make sure to be supportive of your partner and their dreams. You guys are apart for a reason, so don’t give up everything! Your relationship will help to make you strong. Just remember that your partner will be by your side always. (Just not physically) Also, you can keep the relationship alive by sending gifts!”

Obviously, Yatri and Chintan have a huge time difference, but that doesn’t stop them from talking to each other as much as they can. India is nine and a half hours ahead of Tennessee! Yatri said that she sleeps in late and Chintan wakes up pretty early, so their sleep schedules don’t exactly match up perfectly… However, they don’t let their different sleep schedules affect their relationship. So, don’t worry if you’re the same – your LDR can still work regardless of what time you wake up!
Their relationship is special for so many reasons.
They’re both super dedicated to working and following their dreams… Thankfully, they both see themselves ending up at the same place right beside each other! It’s important to talk to your partner about what they want… In Yatri and Chintan’s case, it’s amazing that they both want the same thing… That’s part of the reason why they’re perfect together!
When it comes to their long distance relationship, their biggest struggle is not being able to see each other for years… Yes, you read that right, years. Sadly, they can’t afford flights to see each other, but they’re working hard to save up. The distance won’t last forever and sooner or later, they’ll be able to be together all the time.
In the future, they want to have kids, and Yatri is most excited to be able to wake up besides Chintan everyday.
